John 10:7-11 reads as follows:
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
I choose abundant life through Jesus Christ today! Today, I stick my flag in the ground just for it to fall over due to the dry soil and its hardness. SO I pick it up again and draw back so fiercely that when I jab the flag stake in the ground a second time, I break the stake. Ok, but I still claim Jesus is Lord and I have abundant life through Him. So I find a pole and use some zip ties to fasten the flag to an existing pole and so it soars in the wind. I will never know who placed that pole in the ground so well, but I use it today.
There are those that have fought the good fight
I must remember there are those that have fought the good fight. Those that have kept churches and God’s people learning scripture in a way they grasp it and are forever changed. I come to church and all ministry gatherings with the want to grasp His love even better each day. Again I choose abundant life, no matter what the world may say or do. I know He is faithful to provide all that His word says. Keep your eyes on Him, who went to the cross for each of us. Jesus was crucified, buried and rose again to conquer death and the grave. He did this to make a way for us to be saved by the Blood of the Lamb. Jesus Christ is the only way. He’s the only door to freedom from sin and a place in Heaven forever.
