Isaiah 40:3, 7-8 and 31 reads as follows:

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

We must understand that the way of The Lord is straight. I say it often – there is no better place to be than with The Lord and on His path. He wants the absolute best for His children, as do we as parents.  If you look at your children you’ll understand how quick things can change. They grow up so fast. Of course, sometimes it’s not growth we would want for them as their parents. Many times children go astray on their own path. They go their way instead of the Lords way, desiring things now and exactly the way that pleases them. God’s word will be forever though and that is what we should line our minds up with.

Do not be worldly minded but be Biblical minded

Have a Biblical view on things. Going against God’s timing for the purpose of fulfilling personal desires can cause issues that sometimes can never be fixed. The Word says to wait upon The Lord, but how do we do this exactly? Start by really focusing time daily on His Word and direction. From there, just watch as He leads you to do things, and sometimes that means being led to wait. Waiting can be very powerful though, as that can allow you to see the Living God in action. Renew your strength today and watch your future become even more than you ever imagined it could be. With God, all things are possible!
